Independent consultancy · Currently taking on new work

Technology that works.
Security that holds up.

Villitech is an independent IT, cybersecurity, and networking consultancy for organizations that need their systems to be dependable, defensible, and understood — not just impressive in a slide deck.

No digital transformation theater. No black-box retainers. Just clear answers and work that survives contact with reality.

Service areas

Five things we do, done properly

Engagements are scoped to the problem in front of you. Most work touches more than one of these areas — that overlap is usually where the real fixes live.

01

IT operations Keep the lights on, deliberately

Endpoint and identity management, patching, backups you have actually tested, and the unglamorous routines that decide whether an ordinary Tuesday stays ordinary. We document what exists so the next person isn't guessing.

  • Endpoints & identity
  • Patch & lifecycle
  • Backup & recovery
  • Runbooks
02

Cybersecurity Defenses that assume something will go wrong

Practical hardening, access control, logging, and threat-informed reviews — sized to what you actually run. We favor controls you can operate over shelfware that looks good in an audit and does nothing on a bad day.

  • Hardening & access
  • Logging & detection
  • Risk review
  • Vendor & SaaS posture
03

Networking Traffic that goes where it should

Wired and wireless design, segmentation, VPN and remote access, firewalls, and DNS — built to be diagrammed, not mythologized. When the network is slow or flaky, we find the cause instead of adding hardware and hoping.

  • LAN / Wi-Fi
  • Segmentation
  • VPN & remote access
  • Firewall & DNS
04

Systems & cloud Infrastructure you can reason about

Servers, virtualization, and cloud accounts set up to be maintainable and cost-honest. Migrations planned around real workloads and rollback plans — not a vendor's roadmap. Configuration written down, not held in one person's head.

  • Servers & virtualization
  • Cloud accounts
  • Migrations
  • Cost & capacity
05

Incident response & troubleshooting When it's already broken

Something is down, slow, or behaving strangely and you need it understood. We stabilize first, find the root cause, then leave you with a plain-language writeup and the changes needed so the same thing doesn't happen twice.

  • Triage & stabilize
  • Root-cause analysis
  • Recovery
  • Post-incident writeup
How engagements work

Straightforward from first call to handoff

No mandatory discovery phase billed by the month before anything useful happens. Four steps, adjusted to fit the size of the problem.

STEP 01

A short call to understand what's happening, what's at stake, and what "fixed" means to you. If we're not the right fit, we'll say so.

Talk it through

STEP 02

A written scope in plain language: what we'll do, what we won't, roughly how long, and what it costs. You approve before work starts.

Scope in writing

STEP 03

We do the work, keep you posted at a cadence you choose, and flag anything that changes the picture as soon as we see it.

Do the work

STEP 04

You get documentation, credentials, and a clear picture of what changed. Nothing stays locked in our heads or our tooling.

Hand it over

What clients get

Principles we don't bend

  • Plain language

You'll always know what we did and why, in terms you can repeat to someone else. Jargon is for precision, not for hiding the ball.

  • Vendor-neutral advice

We're not reselling a stack or chasing a partner quota. Recommendations are based on what fits your situation, including "you don't need to buy anything."

  • No lock-in by design

Documentation, access, and configuration belong to you. If you want to bring the work in-house or hand it to someone else, that's a clean handoff, not a hostage negotiation.

  • Fix causes, not symptoms

Rebooting until it works is not a strategy. We find the underlying reason and address it, then tell you what to watch for.

About

An independent consultancy, on purpose

Villitech is deliberately small and independent. That means the person scoping your work is the person doing it — no handoff to a junior team you never met, no account manager translating between you and whoever actually touches the systems.

We work with organizations that have outgrown "the one person who knows how everything works" but aren't looking to bankroll a bloated managed-services contract. Sometimes that's a standalone project; sometimes it's ongoing support arranged on terms that make sense for you.

Independence is the point. We're free to recommend the boring, durable option, to tell you when a proposed project isn't worth doing, and to hand everything back cleanly when the work is done.

FAQ

Questions worth answering up front

Do you offer 24/7 support and guaranteed response times?
Coverage and response windows aren't one-size-fits-all, so we don't pretend they are. We'll agree availability and target response times as part of your engagement, based on what you actually need and are willing to pay for — rather than advertising a number we can't honor for everyone.
What size organizations do you work with?
Typically small and mid-sized organizations that depend on their systems but don't have a large internal IT function — or teams that need a specific problem solved without hiring for it permanently. If your situation is a poor fit, we'll tell you early.
Do you work remotely or on-site?
Most work can be done remotely. On-site visits are arranged when the problem genuinely needs hands on the hardware. We agree the arrangement per engagement rather than assuming one model fits everything.
Will we be locked into a long contract?
No. Work is scoped in writing, and ongoing support is arranged on terms you agree to. Documentation and access stay with you, so leaving is always a clean handoff — never a dependency you're stuck paying for.
How does pricing work?
Pricing follows the scope. Project work is quoted up front; ongoing support is arranged on a basis that fits the commitment. You'll see the numbers in writing before anything starts, with no surprise line items after the fact.
Can you take over systems someone else set up?
Often, yes. A good chunk of the work is inheriting environments with little documentation, mapping what's actually there, and getting it into a state you can understand and maintain. We start by making the existing setup legible.
